Irene L. Swartz, 63, of North Baltimore, died Aug. 7 in Toledo Hospital.
She was bom Feb. 24, 1922, in Wood County to Mathias and Marguerite (Campbell) Adler. She married Norman Swartz on Nov. 25, 1939, and he survives.
Also surviving are six sons, Tony of Deshler, Paul of Orlando, Fla., Robert of Bowling Green, Richard of Findlay, Steven of North Baltimore, and William of Bowling Green; three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Diane) Duzenski of Atlanta, Mrs. Jack (Norma) Evans of Sylvania, and Janice Minneman of Vandalia; two brothers, Robert Adler of Rudolph and Richard Adler of Bowling Green; two sisters, Mrs. James (Helen) Wensink of Bradenton, Fla., and Mrs. Darryl (Joanne) Mills of Bowling Green; 32 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Swartz retired in 1978 from St. Thomas More University Parish, where she had worked for 10 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, North Baltimore and the church's Altar Rosary Society.
A funeral Mass was said Aug. 10 at the church with the Revs. Damien Rybka and Richard Wurzel officiating. Burial was in Wood County Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to Toledo Hospital's cardiac intensive care unit.
