Funeral services for Alson John Lee, 66, of 116 E. Plum St., Deshler were held at Immaculate Conception Church, Deshler, the Rev. Jeff Nordhaus officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler. Mr. Lee died at Oak Grove Manor Nursing Home, Deshler. He had been ill for about a year. He was born on Sept. 1, 1914 in Deshler to Matt and Kitty (Collins) Lee. He married Vera A. Nolan on Dec. 18, 1936 and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, William of Deshler and Ted of Ada; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Karen ) Parsons of Defiance; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; a brother, Robert of Deshler, and a sister, Mrs. Gus (Helen) Binder of Toledo. Mr. Lee retired from Railway Express in 1975. He was a World War II U. S, Army veteran, and served as the Deshler Village City Clerk in the 1950s. He also was a member of the Deshler American Legion and the Disabled American Veterans of Napoleon. he atted Immaculate Conception Church.
