Minnie V. (Flick) Van Scoyoc was born in Van Buren Twp., Putnam County, March 22, 1875, the daughter of John D. and Caroline (Cramer) Flick. She departed this life May 21, 1967, at the Oak Grove Manor nursing home, in Deshler, where she had been a patient since Aug. 1966, after suffering a broken hip.
On Dec. 14, 1902, she was married to Emmett E. Van Scoyoc, who passed away March 17, 1947.
Surviving are two children, Homer of Deshler, and Florence, a teacher in the Findlay Schools. Also one grandson, George Van Scoyoc.
Mrs. Van Scoyoc lived her entire life in the Oakdale community, always in sight of the Oakdale church, of which she was a life member.
She moved to her present home, in Bartlow Twp., Henry Co., Jan. 1, 1904.
She was the last of her family and was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. John (Martha) Walker, and two brothers, Charles and Emmett Flick.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday at the Oakdale Church, Rev. Hough officiating, with burial in the McComb Union Cemetery.
