Bryce (Peter) E. Brown, 83, of U. S. Route 6, McClure, died Nov. 20 in Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. He was born in McClure on July 5, 1904, to Edward and Stella (Hockman) Brown. He married Norma Roland in February 1924, and she died in 1928. He is survivied by a daughter, Joyce Gilliland of McClure. Brown was a farmer, a McClure school bus driver, had been an inspector for the State Highway Department, and was a mortuary assistant for Clegg and Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Homes in Toledo and Dubbs Funeral Home in Deshler. He was a member of McClure's St. Paul Lutheran Church, and an honorary member of the McClure Volunteer Fire Department. Services wer held Nov. 24 in the Wright Funeral Home in Grand Rapids with the Rev. Craig Edwards of St. Paul Lutheran officiating. Burial was in the Hockman Cemetery near McClure.
