Obituary: George C. Buchanan, 71, Hoytville, a retired farmer and stationary engineer at Bowling Green State University, died at 2 p.m. last Tuesday at Blanchard Valley Hospital of a heart attack. He was born July 3, 1903 in Wood County, to R. W. C. and Ellen (Price) Buchanan. He married Alvina Pas, June 8, 1935 and she survives. Also surviving are a son Donald, Route 5, Findlay; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Alma) Ault, Dayton; Mrs. James (Bertha) Carter, Cygnet; a brother Howard, North Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. Wilda Regal, Deshler; Mrs. Ruth Dennis, Hoytville. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Deshler. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. Roger Harding officiating. Burial was in Deshler Woodlawn Cemetery.
