R. W. C. (Webb) Buchanan, 62, Route 1, Hoytville, an employe of the Wood County highway department for 16 years and also a farmer, died at 8:40 a. m. Monday in his residence. He had been ill one and one-half years.
A son of R. W. C. and Ellen (Price) Buchanan, he was born Dec. 27, 1901 in Jackson Township, Wood County. On April 29, 1934 he married Pearl Boyer who survives with a daughter, Nancy, and a son, Roderick, both at home.
Also surviving are sisters, Mrs. Wilda Regal, Deshler, and Mrs. G. C. (Ruth) Dennis, Hoytville, and brothers George Buchanan, Hoytville, and Howard Buchanan, North Baltimore.
A sister, Mrs. Mabel Anderson and a brother, Rufus, are dead.
Mr. Buchanan was a former president of the Jackson Township School Board and a member of the Deshler Church of the Brethren.
Services will be at 2 p. m. Thursday in the church, the Rev. Harold Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in McComb Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dubbs Funeral Home after 7 p. m. Tuesday.
