The deceased was the heaviest member of the Beck family noted throughout Ohio and adjoining states for their weight. He weighted 425 pounds at the time of his death and because of this weight had been unable to lay in bed for many months previous to his death. The head of the caskt in which Mr. Beck was placed for burial was supported by a trestle made expressly for this occasion. The foot rested on the floor. The services of 16 men were required to lower the casket to the bottom of the grave.
