Joseph Bellfy, lifelong resident of Hamler, died at his home after suffering for some time with blood poisoning. He was engaged in the restaurant business. Mr. Bellfy was first stricken with blood poisoning in his foot. The bone was scaped recently in an efort to check the spread of the poison, but it was later found necessary to amputate the leg. He failed to survive this operation.
