Alfred (Tiny) L. Lanzer, 80, of Malinta, died Monday, June 24 in Medical College of Ohio at Toledo. Born in Napoleon on May 18, 1911, he was the son of Henry and Caroline (Brubach) Lanzer. He was married to Dorothea Leona Shidler on Nov. 3, 1934, and she died Aug. 10, 1987. He was a retired Grelton area farmer. An avid sportsman, he hunted, bowled and played golf. He was past president of Malinta-Grelton School Board and former director of Grelton Elevator, and was most recently serving as a member of the Grelton Cemetery Board. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon. Surviving are his sons, Larry of Liberty Center; Marvin of Napoleon, and Bernard of Ontario, Canada; daughters, Dolores Keefer of Fayette, and Diane Lanzer of Toledo; brothers Emil of Napoleon and Elmer of McClure; sister Rosa Genuit of Napoleon; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were brothers Walter, Raymond and Carl; and sister Ida Clausen. Services were held on Thursday, June 27, in St.. Paul Lutheran Church in Napoleon. Interment was in Gelton Cemetery.
