Funeral services for Esther C. Baer, 72, of 307 Stearns Ave., Deshler, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler with the Rev. Delmar Young officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Baer died Dec. 27 at Blanchard Valley Hospital after a six-month illness. She was born Nov. 27, 1914 in Henry County to Henry and Mary (Bischoff) Spoering. She married Roy H. Baer on June 16, 1933, and he died July 24, 1976. Surviving are a son, Larry, of Deshler; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Augusta Hahn of Hamler. Mrs. Baer was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Deshler.
