Obituary: Gerald Blinn Swihart, 67, Route 1, Deshler, was dead on arrival at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He died of a heart attack. He was born April 4, 1914, in Marion Township to George and Alta (Blinn) Swihart. He married Vera Stiles on Sept. 29, 1937 and she survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Lieb of Arcadia; and Mrs. Wilbert (Flossie) Schrader of Sandusky. Mr. Swihart was a farmer and a retired employee of Deshler Metal Forge Co. where he worked for 10 years. Funeral arrangements were pending at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler.
