Obituary: Mildred L. George, 71, rural Leipsic, died Thursday in Blanchard Valley Hospital, after a three-month illness. She was born Jan. 29, 1907, in Marion Township, Henry County, to Roy and Iona (Butler) Gibson. She married Hurley George on Dec. 25, 1928, and he survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Elmolie Laveck, Findlay; three sons, Ronald, Leipsic; Carl, Custar; Harold, Napoleon; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Mrs. George was a housewife and member of Belmore United Methodist Church, Belmore. Services were at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. Everett Miles officiating. Burial was in East Belmore Cemetery, Leipsic.
