[Very long, only gisted here.]
... Benjamin F. Boyer ... suddenly departed from the receding scenes of time, June 5th, 1938, at the home of his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Frank DeAngelo, 1419 Corbin Road, Toledo, O.
Mr. Boyer was a son of David and Agnes [sic] Boyer and was born, Jan. 9, 1889, and had attained the age of 49 years, 4 months, and 26 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Jessamine L. Keiter, who survives.
In his departure, Mr. Boyer leaves in the wake of sorrow, his wife, who is a professional nurse, four sisters, Mrs. DeAngelo, Toledo, Mrs. Hattie Young, Deshler, Mrs. Hester Dishong, Deshler, and Mrs. Pearl Buchanan, Hoytville. Also two brothers, Clyde and Charles of Deshler.
He was highly intellectual in a very general way, a man of rare intelligence, indeed. Nature had been profusely liberal in endowing him with such wonderful musical ability. He might have been styled as adept in the fine art of music. He was a natural musician, and had been professionally associated with some of the most popular musical groups in this country.
He left an enviable record as a soldier, who went over seas, to offer his life on the alter of sacrifice for his country, during the World War.
The most of his early life was spent out in the vicinity of the Oakdale Church, where the '4 counties' meet.
Funeral services at Oakdale June 8th at 2 o'clock P. M.
Interment in McComb Cemetery in charge of W. W. Stewart Funeral Home, Auburndale, Toledo, O.
