Obituary: Maella 'Ina' Kennedy, 75, of Ft. Wayne, died Wednesday at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne. She was born on May 28, 1924, in Custar to Harvy and Vlrgie Stiles. She married James Richard and he preceded her in death. She retired in 1999 after 10 years as a cook with Ft. Wayne Community Schools and had previously been a cook for 14 years at the Lincoln National Life Insurance Co. building. She was former two-term president of VFW Post 10006. Surviving are her son. Keith, of Ft. Wayne; daughters, Kathy Green and Karen Schmenk, both of Ft. Wayne; sister, Doris Payne, of Deshler, 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Saturday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home in Ft. Wayne. Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery in Ft. Wayne.
