Clifford Freeman, 82, of Deshler died Monday at Oak Grove Quality Care Center in Deshler.
Born Aug. 2, 1912, he was the son of Walter and Ann (Brandau) Freeman. On Nov. 21, 1959, he married Doris Thomas, who survives.
He was a retired truck driver and worked for 10 years as maintenance man at Oak Grove Quality Care Nursing Center. He was also a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the Deshler United Methodist Church, the Deshler American Legion and the Bartlow Township Historical Society.
He was also survived by five daughters, Gerry Adkins of Ferndale, Mich., Pat McKinley of Oxford, Mich., Janet Watson of East Aurora, N.Y., Judy Wills of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Mary Gier of Union, Ohio; a step-son, Roger Plotts of Findlay; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home in Deshler, Rev. Susan Babb officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Deshler.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
