Calletana Cabrera, 57, of 327 Kauffman St., Holgate was dead at the scene of a car-train accident shortly after 9:00 p.m. Friday on Brayer Street in Holgate. She was born Aug. 7, 1934 in Welder, Texas to Thomas and Florentina (Esparza) Briseno, and her father survives in Napoleon. She married Armando Cabrera in April 1984, and he survives. Mrs. Cabrera was a production employee at Campbell Soup Co., Napoleon for 25 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Also surviving are six sons: Rudy Salaz and Jose Salaz, Jr. both of Napoleon; Mike Salza and Andy Salaz, both of Holgate; Pete Salaz and Leo Salaz both of Definace; six daughters: Janie Montez and Mrs. Tom (Carmen) Maynard both of Holgate, Mrs. Jose (Julia) Castillo in Florida, Sally Raya, Mary Salaz and Josephine Salaz all of Defiance; 26 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jose Briseno of Detroit, Mich., Thomas Briseno of Leipsic; Paul Briseno of Defiance, Remijito Briseno of Bowling Green and three sisters, Estella Fonseca of Napoleon, Andrea Briseno and Connie Briseno both of Chicago, Ill. A funeral mass for Mrs. Cabrera will be said at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holgate, the Rev. Robert Kill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
