James F. Boyer, 71, of Green Springs, Oh., died June 24 in the Emergency Room at the Fremont Memorial Hospital.
Born in Deshler to James A. and Cora E. (Van Scoyoc) Boyer, he married Ruby Lambert on Oct. 22. 1942 in Helena and she survives.
Mr. Boyer was retired from the United Telephone Company, working in the maintenance department. He was a 30 year member of the Green Springs Fire Department. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in World War II.
Also surviving are his son, Jeffrey F., of Green Springs; brothers, Carl Boyer, of Holtom City, Tex.; John Boyer, of Salamanca, N.Y., and sister, Dessie Pas, of Deshler. A son, Joseph F., died in 1987.
Services were held June 27 in the Engle-Young Funeral Home, Green Springs, with burial in Green Springs Cemetery.
