Marvin Elsworth Bowersox, 66, North Main Street, Hamler, died Saturday, February 16 in his home. He was born on Dec. 7, 1924 in Continental, the son of Parley and Bessie (Huggins) Bowersox. In 1950, he married Esther Honemann, and she survives. Mr. Bowersox was a World War II U. S. Army veteran, and he was employed with ECG Phillips, Ottawa, retiring in 1986 after 40 years. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler, where he was a former, janitor, caretaker, elder, and financial secretary. he was a member of Warren L. McIntyre American Legion Post, Hamler and the VFW, Ottawa. Also surviving are a daughter, Rita Woods, Lima; a son, Thomas Bowersville, Ohio; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 18 at Peace Lutheran Church, Deshler with Rev. Paul Lehenbauer officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
