Edward Foster Brown was born in Shelby county, near Jackson Center, Ohio, Feb. 2, 1871. He moved with his parents to Deshler in 1887, where he resided until his death, which occurred Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1909, of a disease of the jaw, age 38 years, 9 months and 22 days.
He united with the M. E. church about twenty years ago.
He was united in marriage to Flora Burk in 1890 at Deshler. To this union were born three girls and one boy, all of whom still survive, except one girl which passed away three years ago. A widow, two daughters and one son are left to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted husband and father. He also leaves two brothers, one residing in this place and one in Arkansas, also three sisters, two of whom reside in this place and one in Hamilton, besides a host of friends.
The funeral was held at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Rainsberger. The remains were laid to rest in Woodlawn cemetery.
