Margaret "Maggie" Detmer, 90, Holgate died Wednesday at Country View Haven of rural Napoleon. Born in Henry County Jan. 14, 1900, she was the daughter of Adam and Anna (Rettig) Bortz. In August of 1918, she married Clarence Weber, who preceded her in death in January of 1948. She then married Fred Detmer in April of 1947, and he preceded her in death in March 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Holgate, and the Holgate American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are five sons, Richard and Melvin Weber both of Napoleon, Harold Weber of McClure, Kenneth Weber of Columbus, Ind., and Carl Weber of Decatur, IL.; six daughters: Rozella Miller, June Mengerink and Esther Bischoff all of Napoleon, Donna Page of Toledo and Ruth Coressel and Mary Jane Hahn both of Malinta; 52 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was an infant son, Robert Weber. Services were held at St. John's United Church of Christ, in Holgate, Rev. Howard Hershberger officiating. interment was in the church cemetery.
