Bessie Lee Kempher, 96, of Oak grove Nursing hOme in Deshler, and formerly of Van Buren and McComb, died May 12 at the nursing home. She was born Aug. 8, 1890 in Paulding to John and Amanda (Krall) Baker. She married Faran J. Kempher on Dec. 12, 1905 and he preceded her in death. Surviving are a son, John, four daughters, Emaline Steiner, Etta Lenhart, Edith Kinney and Mrs. Robert (Elinora) Corbin; 18 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kempher was a homemaker. She was amember of McComb Garden Club and Van Buren United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held May 15 at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay with the Rev. Benjamin Lowell officiating. Burial was in Van Buren Cemetery.
