Mary Elizabeth Cramer, 89, formerly of Holgate, died Jan 9 at the Henry County Home. Born March 22, 1897, in Defiance County, she was the daughter of Edward and Grace (Buhlart) Bauman. She married Harry Cramer April 20, 1918, and he died Jan. 2, 1960. Surviving are three sons. John and Norman of Holgate and Donald of Edgerton; four daughters, Mary Ellen Fuhrhop of Hamler, Barbara Jean Kestner and Patsy Lou Schlosser, both of Napoleon, and Virginia Retcher of Ney; 25 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Marie; one grandson, Dennie Fuhrhop; and one granddaughter, Denita Cramer. Mrs. Cramer was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and the church's Women's Missionary Society, and taught Sunday school for many years. Services were held Monday at the church with the Rev. Dana Bjorlin officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Snyder Funeral Services, Holgate.
