Funeral services for Levoy 'Doc' Boyer, 81, Deshler, were at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, the Rev. David Eichar and the Rev. Delmar Young officiating. Burial was in Deshler Woodlawn Cemetery.
An employee of the B&O Railroad-Railway Express for 48 1/2 years, Mr. Boyer died at 10 p.m. last Tuesday in his home. He had been ill for the past three years.
He was born Aug. 9, 1895, in Henry County to Moses and Theresa (Newell) Boyer. On Nov. 5, 1919, he married Leona Spangler, and she survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Paul, Enon; Dale, Fostoria; a brother, Joseph, Parma; a sister, Mrs. Emery (Hazel) Sites, New Hall, Calif.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He served on the Deshler Village Council for 20 years and was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church, Deshler.
