Mrs. Myrtle Irene Van Scoyoc, 72, of 117 S. Vine, Deshler, died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday in her home. She had been in failing health for one year.
Born Jan. 22, 1898, in Wood County, she was a daughter of Albert and Dorotha (Butler) Brown. She was married to Charles Van Scoyoc on Feb. 1, 1916. He died in 1965.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Don (Ruth) Brentlinger, Elkhart, Ind., and Mrs. Merrill (Dorothy Jean) Stateler, McComb; sons, Howard L. and Robert R., both of Deshler; brothers, Leland, Wyoming, Mich., Gerald, Placerville, Calif., and Keith, White Pigeon, Mich.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Oakdale United Methodist Church, Deshler, and the WSCS.
Services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bloor Funeral Home, with the Rev. Delmar Young officiating. Burial was in McComb Union Cemetery.
