Former Deshlerite, Mrs. Hester Ann Dishong, 59, died Tuesday in Blanchard Valley Hospital. She had been ill for about five years and was hospitalized for several weeks.
She was born July 17, 1901, near Deshler, the daughter of David Howard and Agnes [sic] (Butler) Boyer. On June 1, 1920 she was married to Floyd E. Dishong and he survives. She moved to Hancock County from Deshler in 1939.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert E., Salina, Kan.; John O., McComb; a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Donna) Badertscher, Bluffton; two sisters, Mrs. Webster (Pearl) Buchanan, Hoytville; Mrs. Frank (Essa) DeAngelo, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and six grandchildren.
Sisters, Jennie and Ida Mae, and brothers, James, Benjamin, Clyde, Charles, David and Moses, are deceased.
Mrs. Dishong was a member of the Women's Aid Society of the Deweyville Church of God. She retained her membership in the Deshler Church of the Brethren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Harmon Funeral Home, McComb, the Rev. Keith Snyder, pastor of the Deweyville Church of God, will officiate with burial in McComb Union Cemetery.
