Charles H. Boyer, 64, of 330 W. Maple St., died at 4:30 a.m. Friday in his residence. He was a Baltimore & Ohio Railroad passenger conductor.
Born Oct. 28, 1896, in Wood County, he was the son of David and Sarah (Butler) Boyer. He married Helen House in 1927 and she survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Egan, Columbus; sons, Scott and Thomas, both of Deshler; sisters, Mrs. Webb Buchanan, Hoytville; Mrs. Floyd Dishong, McComb; and Mrs. Frank DeAngelo, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Boyer was a member of the Deshler Methodist Church. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Deshler American Legion post, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Order of Railroad Conductors, and the Deshler Masonic Lodge.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Dubbs Funeral Home. The Rev. T. E. Donaugh officiated with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
