Obituary: Mrs. Cora V. Dishong, 57, of Deshler, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday at her residence of cancer. She had been ill six months. Born July 9, 1897 in Jackson township, she was a daughter of David C. and Hester (Camamile) Brown. A life resident of this comunity, she was married to Floris Dishong, January 15 1917, and he survives. Also surviving are daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Meyers, Hamler; and Mrs. Ruth Reiger, Toledo; sons Clyde, at home; Guy and Ray, both of Deshler; George, Mansfield, Tex.; Earl, U.S. Air Force at Willow Run, Michigan; sisters, Mrs. Virgie Stiles, Deshler; Mrs. Inez Triggs, Neapolis; Mrs. Mabel Sherer, Findlay; brothers, Melvin Deshler, and Wilder, Jonesville, Tenn. She was a member of the Deshler Methodist church, where services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday; the Rev. Anthony Drake officiated. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery. (There is a discrepancy with her birth date and that of her brother, Melvin. Check in the courthouse records.)
