George Bockelman met instant death wehen he received a 2,000 volt electrical charge from the wires of the Napoleon municipal plant through his body. He was at work on his farm pulling the iron pipe casing from a well. The joint of the pipe extended about 12 feet into the air diretly beneath he electric lines of the Napoleoen lighting plant, supplying current to that section of the community.
