Funeral services for Ovid H. Armstrong 80 of Ohio 65, Deshler, was held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17 at Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure. Burial was held in Richfield Township Cemetery, Westhope. Mr. Armstrong died at 6 a.m. Saturday, June 15 at Oak Grove Quality Care Center, Deshler. He was born June 16, 1910 in Delaware County to James and Minnie (Hines) Armstrong. He married Lillian Booth on July 22, 1931 and she died Feb. 25, 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Janet) Garringer, Deshler; three sons, Gene of McClure; Robert of Mansfield; Ron of Grand Rapids; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Snider, El Paso, Texas; and a brother, George of Welak, Fla. A farmer, Mr. Armstrong also had worked 24 years at The Andersons, Maumee. he was a member of McClure United Methodist Church.
