Five year old child of Henry Aelker, Bernard "Barney" living two miles northwest of Leipsic, died as a result of being horribly burned during the day. The child had accompanied his father to the field, where he was plowing and in playing about a pile of burning chunks, his clothes took fire. The father was about 200 yards away, and hearing the scream turned to find the child enveloped in flames. Before the little one could be reached, it had been fatally burned.
