A funeral Mass for Henry C. Adler Sr., 87, of 615 Lafayette Blvd., Bowling Green, was said Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Custar with the Rev. Joseph Schmelzer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Dubbs-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler was in charge of arrangements. Adler died April 25 at Wood County Nursing Home, Bowling Green. He had been in failing health for more than five years. He was born April 4, 1900, in Custar to Adam and Mary (Blasius) Adler. He married Frances Walter on Dec. 29, 1931, and she survives. Also surviving are three sons, Marvin of Custar; Henry R. of Bowling Green, and James of Rudolph; two daughters, Mrs Harry (Marian) Sloyer, Gladwin, Mich., and Mrs. Gordon (Lela) Schwanzl of Columbus; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Adler was a retired farmer. He had been a member of the Wood County Farm Bureau Council in the 1950s.
