Northwest Signal Obituaries 2001,  and coming soon, The Northwest Signal Obituaries 2002. The cost is $12 each plus $2.00 postage and handling.
Towns and Ghost Towns of Henry County 1794 – Present. The cost is $5.00 plus $1.50 postage and handling.

NEW ARRIVAL

We have been able to obtain the Henry County church records from the Toledo Catholic Diocese on microfilm. These films contain records from Immaculate Conception, Deshler; St. Augustine, Napoleon; St. Mary, Holgate; St. Paul, Hamler; and Sacred Heart, New Bavaria.

NOTES FROM MEMBERS

In the language of today’s kids, it is way worthwhile to use the CDs of the Census Index 1607-1880 in the Deshler Edwin Wood Memorial Library. Find the state you are interested in and type in the name. When the information comes up it will give a microfilm roll number and page number.

It is possible to rent (for a few dollars) the copies of the microfilm census records from the Census Microfilm Program — ask at the library. You may keep them for several weeks.

From THE HENRY COUNTY SIGNAL, 2 November 1882

RIDGEVILLE ITEMS — Mrs. Phebe LININGER, daughter of Rev. George STRUBLE, has just come from her western home to spend a year, or so, at the paternal residence for the purpose of improving her health.

At an evening party which came off at the house of Mr. Eli CESAR in the western part of this township, a few days since, a few contemptible pieces of vandalism were perpetrated by certain young pimps of his Satanic majesty, which are likely to prove of serious import to the actors. The well of Mr. CESAR was filled with pumpkins and a new single harness cut to pieces. The boys have been arrested.

ROLL OF HONOR (Napoleon School) consisting of pupils whose scholarship is good and have been neither absent nor tardy during October.
