Genealogical Society Materials:

Napoleon Public Library

The Henry County Genealogical Society’s official repository for genealogical materials is the Wood Memorial Library in Deshler. However, the Napoleon Public Library has extensive genealogical holdings in its Ohio History section, including all the material that has been published by the HCGS. The links to the left will help you research materials that are available to you in each of these excellent libraries. As our Internet site grows, we will be adding information on other libraries in the county.

The Napoleon Public Library at the link below has an on-line card catalog. All the major genealogical publications in the Ohio Room are searchable by author, title, and subject. Please be aware that this material is for in-library use only, and cannot be taken out.

It is not our intent to reproduce here the entire card catalog of the Napoleon Public Library, but we plan in the future to list the books, pamphlets and microfilms held in the Ohio Room of the library. This is to be an aid to genealogists researching in Henry County.
